DANZAHRA FESTIVAL

Danzahra is a new artistic project in Zahara de los Atunes. We create a space for the development, learning and exchange of practices. Where students and movement professionals come together to experience different approaches to dance.
Zahara de los Atunes is a small coastal town, by the sea. Its long sandy beaches and sunsets, create a magical parenthesis where you can enjoy nature, village life, climate and gastronomy.
We will have a week of workshops where different national and international masters will share their practice in an outdoor space. During this week, several public events will be organized where works of different artists will be shown and enjoyed!

WORKSHOPS

DANZHARA CINEMA

DANZAHRA MOVES

5 days of workshops and movement practices from 10:00 to 15:00.
Date: April 30 to May 4, 2025.
During the week, there will be events open to the public and more activities where different artistic disciplines can meet.
Registration fee:
260 € paying before April 1, 2025.
300 € paying after April 2, 2025.
Accommodation 5 nights in a shared room: 150 €.
Payment is made by bank transfer.

Musical proposal with acoustic format.
These sessions are aimed at people in the area, as an exchange between 15 minutes of music and an audiovisual record.
Maximum set duration: 15 minutes.
Registration material:
*2-3 songs in demo or video format (YouTube, SoundCloud, Drive, etc.).
*Brief biography of the artist/band.
*Social networks or digital platforms (Instagram, Spotify, YouTube, etc.).
*Official photography or press kit (optional).
Benefits:
*Space for promotion of the event on social networks.
*Audiovisual record of the presentation.
*Opportunity for dissemination on digital platforms.
General Information:
*Participation is free.
*Basic sound equipment (microphones, cables and console) will be provided. Artists must bring their own instruments.
*Optional prior rehearsal.
*Punctuality mandatory on the day of the event.

This call is aimed at professional choreographers, dance companies, independent or emerging dance groups and are invited to participate in the II International Dance Festival in Zahara de los Atunes.
Those interested may submit their choreographic works for selection. Dates will be announced soon.
The Festival has a budget for transportation and lodging expenses. We also have a small stipend for the artists.
